Grow Your Blog 2015

Last year I participated in the Grow Your Blog party for the first time.  Not only did many visitors commented on my blog and several started following my posts but I had the opportunity to "find" many new friends and visit their blogs.  I have learned so much about blogging from these many sites.  And I am looking forward to visiting many more this year.

Needle turn applique is my obsession.  This is just one example of my many works in progress.  It is called The Joy of Life designed by Rosemary Quinlan.  This is the second of 9 blocks.

But I rediscovered my passion for knitting and started participating in KAL and challenges.  I spend a lot of time browsing Ravelry.  My Ravelry name is Mumsiemagoo.
Last night I cast on the first block in the Great American Aran Afghan that a group of us at our LYS are working on.  Not much progress to report.  But my latest completed project is LWD Slip Stitch Cable Hat.  I used a skein of Madelinetosh Pashmina worsted yarn in Nassau Blue.

Thank you for stopping by.  I look forward to "meeting" many new friends.

Beth

  5. I am doing this GYB and am hoping to get followers.
I love applique. I do knitting, but it takes me sooo long to do. Great hat, it would take me till next ear to knit and my ears would freeze off till it was finished.

  6. Good Morning Beth, I have the honor to officially welcome you to GYB party. I have enjoyed reading your post this morning. I have quilted with my mother a long time ago. I love seeing other people's creations. I like your knitting, I know how, but my passion is hand embroidery. I just finished a baby quilt. I hope you get a lot of new followers and have fun blog hopping. Shirley@shirleystitches
