Get It Done

A little progress has been made!!!  It was a very busy month with our daughter's wedding shower out of state, visiting family while on the road and house guest this month.  Three out of the four weeks were a total lose for sewing and my one Bernina has been in for servicing for a month.  So considering all of this, I think I did fairly well.

1. June BOM Mystery Medallion
2. Campy Loopy Project June--Kimono Wrap Infant Sweater
3. Catch up with Baltimore revisited--I am even more behind!!!
4. Bind PB's Cupcake quilt
5. Piece Hocuspocusville top--still waiting

1. Camp Loopy Project #2--Pine Forest baby Blanket
2. Summer Wind Infinity Scarf
3. BOM Mystery Medallion
4. Catch up with Baltimore Revisited
5. Piece Hocuspocusville top
6. Complete 10 Heartstring Blocks

Camp loopy Project #1

I have just finished my Camp Loopy Project #1 with one day to spare.  The challenge is a "one skein project, using a yarn that you have not used before. You can use a single skein of Lace weight or a single skein of Fingering weight yarn, and your project must use at least 375 yards of the skein, so make sure the skein you’re buying has at least 375 yards in it".
I chose the patterrn Little Princess Kimona and used Shalimar Zoe Sock yarn in Tamarillo.

On the Needles Friday

Since we were planning a roadtrip to PA and DC from MA, I choose a project that I would be able to knit in the car.  My choice is Irish girlie Knits' Summer Wind in Madelinetosh Merino Light.  The color is called Afternoon Tea that has lovely shades of pink and peach.  I love how the pattern is making up but I had to cast on 4 times!!!  I kept twisting it as I was joining it.  It should be smooth sailing now.  I hope to finish it this week-end.  I am ready for Camp Loopy Project #2--more on that next week.

Still here

I'm really not whining but.........  The last few weeks have been a blur.  I seem to be having a run of "bad luck" according to my doctor.  A flu followed by another cold---hm-m-m.  I thought I was taking care of myself but apparently not so much!!! There have been a few bright moments during this time.  My sister came for a visit.  It was a wonderful week even though I did alot of sleeping.  The following week the Big Guy and I went to Washington DC for our youngest daughter's bridal shower.  The shower was held at Coco Sala and it was amazing.  The food was delicious.  If you are in the area it is definitely worth a visit and taste.

So after a whirlwind three weeks, I was ready to catch up on Camp Loopy and other blogging adventures.  But the battery for my camera wants to be recharged before snapping anymore progress.  I thought I would share the beginning of my Camp Loopy Project #1.  It is a Kimono style baby sweater that is being blocked as we speak/write.  I will attach the buttons when it is dry and post a picture.

Camp Loopy started June 1 and I was ready to go!!  But it has taken three attempts to get my Little Princess Kimono sweater going.  The yarn is Shalimar Sock in Tamarillo.

Stash Report Week 22

Time is flying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I can't believe we are 22 weeks into the year.  Although I have nothing to report as far as output,  I did make a little purchase of 5.75 yards this week.  The fabric will go into two quilts--one that I have started and one that is in the planning stage.   I needed several batiks to add to the machine embroidered Rose of Sharon I am working on.

Fabric in this week:  5.75 yards
Fabric out this week:  0
In YTD:  28 5/8 yards
Out YTD:  49.75
