On the Needles Friday

I am so happy with my progress this week especially on the knitting front!   The latte Coat for little Mr. C needs a pocket, blocking and buttons.  This will be an entry in the Chunky KAL for the Eat Sleep Knit Yarnathon.
This is a close up of the edging along the fronts and hood.  It was a little tricky at first but once I got the hand of it--thanks to You Tube it went along nicely.
Socks that I began a gazillion years ago (last fall)  will be finished this week-end.  I don't know what I was thinking when I bought the yarn.  It is very colorful.

Yarn Report Week 7

I sure know how to bring yarn in.

The two skeins on the left are Ella Rae Merino fingerings.  The colors are neutral blues and greys.  It was an impulse buy last night during class.

The bright, cheery orange is from Tanis Fiber Arts Aran weight.  I will make a lap throw.  The bottom right skeins Fleece Artist Blue Face Leicester Aran in the color Aurora.  I will use this in the ESK Felting challenge.  I have never felted anything before.  I think these will be mittens.  And the skein on top on the right is Tanis Fiber Arts Aran weight in Olive.  I think I will make fingerless mitts from this skein.

Now I have to practice using it!!!

Yarn in this week:  2094 yards
Yarn out this week:  0
Yarn in YTD:  5411
Yarn out YTD: 810 yards

On the Needles Friday

I am knitting the baby Latte Coat for an Eat Sleep Knit Chunky KAL.  I need to seam the hood and do a basket weave trim around the edges.  I hope to get it cast on tonight.
And at our LYS there is Great American Aran Afghan KAL .  We do a block a month.  This is our 2nd block.
I wish I could knit faster!!!

Design Wall Monday

I actually have something to share.  First up is an Asian inspired Yellow Brick Road.
I'm not crazy about it.  Maybe a border will help.  What do you think?

The next one is an overdue Christmas gift for my newest grandson.
I just need to sew the rows together and add a border.  I am much happier with this project.  I am off to Judy's blog for inspiration.

On the Needles Friday

I have cast on my Chunky KAL for ESK--Baby Latte Coat for Little Mr. C in Tosh Chunky.
The picture is a little deceptive.  The yarn is actually darker with more green.
