I was a little under the weather this week and didn't accomplish what I hoped I would. But I tried something new--machine applique.
Just goes to show you are never to old to learn something new!! Last week our guild had a Sue Pelland workshop taught by Linda, a certified Sue Pelland instructor. It was a fun day but today was the first day I was able to return to the project.
These are two of the borders that I need to buttonhole stitch around.
I like your cheerful folk-art applique!
ReplyDeleteSometimes a workshop is just the ticket to getting comfortable with a technique. Our guild hosted Pat Sloan a couple of years ago. I am no longer hesitant about fusible applique with buttonhole-stitched edges.
I think you have done a great job! Your applique looks lovely! xx
ReplyDeleteYour appliqué is wonderful! Such a cheery, fun design.
