MadMay 2013 was a busy one! I completed two projects for this knitting challenge. And I am very pleased with the results.
This is a very cropped picture of the Cabernet Infinity Scarf. It is pinned to a blocking board. When it is dry I will take a more flattering picture.
My second project was a pair of fingerless mittens made with Tosh Merino Light. It was a fun and easy project. I think I may make several more pairs for Christmas gifts.
A place to chronicle my quilting and fiber journey with a little cooking and genealogy.

Amy Herzog Designs
One of the items on my to do list is to knit a sweater that fits. Several months ago I discovered Amy Herzog's Fit to Flatter group on Ravelry. She has a newly published book, Knit to Flatter, as well as a Craftsy class. I purchased both and have learned alot.
Now is the time to get to work, take my measurements and pictures to identify body type and all that good stuff.
All of the knitting I do is for others. But it would make me happy to knit something for me to wear.
Wish me luck!

Camp Loopy Box of Fun
Any day is a little brighter when you get a box of fun from the Loopy Ewe. Camp Loopy starts June 1st. the challenge is to use one skein of lace or fingering weight yarn in a yarn we have never used before.
I have chosen Shalimar Zoe Sock yarn in Tamarillo. The color is lovely and I think it will make sweet little baby girl sweater.
Now i know I can only use one of the skeins--I thought that was all that I ordered. My fingers must have thought I needed an extra one for another project. I am sure I will find something lovely to knit.
Not only did my Camp Loopy stuff come but I seem to have earned a few bonus points. I am a member of the Merino Club and I am working my way up to the Alpaca Club!

Loopy Ewe 2nd Quarter challenge
I seem to be knitting up a storm these past few weeks. Truth be told I little energy to do much of anything else. This is my entry for the 2nd quarter challenge. It is Easy Colorwork Headbands by Diana Jordan. I used Tosh Vintage in Stargazing and Silver Fox.
I am very happy with the results.

Hello, again
It seems like a life-time since I last posted. I mentioned a flu-like virus that I had--well I am still recovering. Each week is better than the last. But this has taken it's sweet time. So far this week I have resumed an almost normal routine without having to spend a day and half resting up!
Have you ever "been to" Camp Loopy? Last year was my first time and it was grand. Knowing that camp is going to start soon helped with my recovery. I have chosen Shalimar sock yarn in tamarillo. The pattern I have chosen is Little Princess Kimono.
I hope to post a picture tomorrow of what is currently on my needles.
