I am definitely behind I have never been a prolific blogger, I initially wanted to keep track of my quilting and knitting projects, genealogy research and maybe some cooking and baking. I recently pulled out an applique project that I started several years ago. I completed the 8th of 13 blocks.
I am linking up with Anne-Marie of Stories from the Sewing Room. This month I want to do the binding of my Underground Railroad Quilt.

The header is a little misleading. I haven't been anywhere. The summer flew by just as it did for many of you. It is time for me to get back to a routine, make to-do lists and organize some sewing, quilting and yarns spaces.
My knitting projects for the week:
I completed the next 5 blocks for my Farmer's Wife quilt. These are blocks 36-40. I am going to link up with Ann-Marie from Stories from the Sewing Room
I never got started on last's month goal. I have lost interest in my Rose of Sharon project. I just don't like it. This month my goal is to make 5 or more blocks for my Farmer's Wife quilt. I have completed blocks 1-31
This month I want to make Block 3 of my Rose of Sharon Quilt. I am linking up with Anne-Marie and she what others want to accomplish this month.
This was just the motivation I needed to do the binding of this Sporty Strippy Quilt. This not only completes my OMG but also goes for my PhD report. A two-fer-yahoo. I am off to check in with Anne-Marie
I have been meaning to bind this quilt for several months. I don't know why I am procrastinating but this is the month it will be done! I am going to link up with Anne-Marie and see what others want to do this month.
Block 2 of Rose of Sharon is done just under the wire. I love participating in One Monthly Goal. It really helps me to stay on track. I am going to link up with Anne-Marie at Stories from the Sewing Room.

I have been joining Anne-Marie at storiesfromthesewingroom.com for the One Monthly Challenge. This month my goal is to make block 2 of Rose of Sharon.
The challenge this month was for the color pink and the theme hearts. I am using the monthly designs by San Francisco Stitch Co
I completed Block 1 of my Rose of Sharon quilt. I can't wait to start the next block. I am going to link up with Anne-Marie at Stories from the Sewing Room.
Rose of Sharon Block 1 |
I had decided this year to make a Rose of Sharon machine embroidery quilt. I had purchased a BOM several (many) years ago. It was for needle turn applique but then I found a couple of machine embroidery designs. After a few false starts I decided on an Anita Goodesign pattern. My goal this month is to make Block 1 using the fabrics from a BOM. I am going to link up with Stories from the Sewing Room.
I am joining the The Joyful Quilter monthly Table Scrap Challenge. My plan is to make a machine embroidered mug rug. January's challenge is to include Snowflakes and I managed to do that. This is my project this month.
I am feeling as though I have started out the year in a positive direction. My top priority this month was to make a Musselburgh Hat. I am going to link up Stories from the Sewing Room blog.

For the past few years I have participated in a PhD (Projects half Done) challenge. I have made a little progress. But this is my year to make progress completing some of these projects. This is a screenshot of my list. I will add a few pictures of the quilts that I will be working on. I am going to link up with Ms P's blog, the hosts for this PhD challenge.

I have made my 2024 list of knitting, quilting and sewing goals. Participating in this challenge helps keep me focused. This month I have a knitting goal--a Musselburgh Hat. This is my first cast on for 2024. This is the first year in a million years that I don't have any knitting WIPs. I am going to link up with Stories from the Sewing Room
