The only yarn purchases I am allowing myself this year is for specific projects. I have written about my love affair with Eat Sleep Knit and their Yarnathon Challenges.
I have looked very carefully at this Quarter's KAL and Booster Club Badges. I am trying to use as much stash as possible.
I am working on two afghans that should make a big dent in my stash.
A place to chronicle my quilting and fiber journey with a little cooking and genealogy.

Needle turn applique has always been one of my favorite things to do. Even though I have several projects in progress, I couldn't resist signing up for a Block of the Week with Piecing the Past. The pattern is Delft Blue and block one was released last Monday. I know I won't be able to keep up. But I will work on it everyday for at least an hour.
This is my progress on Block One.

On the Hook and on the Needles
I enjoy participating in Eat Sleep Knit's Yarnathon. This year I am on team Swatcharoo.
Project 1: Custom Fit Sweater--Folye's Pullover. The yarn is Three Irish Girls Knits Springvale DK in Cherry Gingerale.
My little cheat sheet.
Since we are in the middle of a cold snap I won't be changing the darker purple any time soon.

I don't do much crochet but I like to practice when I have a chance. One of the projects for the Yarnathon is a Temperature Tracker Project. I am making a chevron afghan and the daily temperature dictates the color I use. Living in New England we have lots of fluctuations.

One Monthly Goal
This is my first time participating in Elm Street Quilts monthly challenge. The one project I absolutely, positively want to finish is the red work label for the quilt, Aunt Mindy's Garden Baskets. Most of my quilting and knitting is still packed away.
Get it done and Get it Started
Happy New Year!! I have a few things planned for the month. And I will probably be adding a few more. I tend to be overly ambitious on January 1. And I found a few more quilting and knitting projects to join.
