I have just finished my Camp Loopy Project #1 with one day to spare. The challenge is a "one skein project, using a yarn that you have not used before. You can use a single skein of Lace weight or a single skein of Fingering weight yarn, and your project must use at least 375 yards of the skein, so make sure the skein you’re buying has at least 375 yards in it".
I chose the patterrn Little Princess Kimona and used Shalimar Zoe Sock yarn in Tamarillo.
A place to chronicle my quilting and fiber journey with a little cooking and genealogy.

On the Needles Friday
Since we were planning a roadtrip to PA and DC from MA, I choose a project that I would be able to knit in the car. My choice is Irish girlie Knits' Summer Wind in Madelinetosh Merino Light. The color is called Afternoon Tea that has lovely shades of pink and peach. I love how the pattern is making up but I had to cast on 4 times!!! I kept twisting it as I was joining it. It should be smooth sailing now. I hope to finish it this week-end. I am ready for Camp Loopy Project #2--more on that next week.

On the Needles Friday
Camp Loopy started June 1 and I was ready to go!! But it has taken three attempts to get my Little Princess Kimono sweater going. The yarn is Shalimar Sock in Tamarillo.

Stash Report Week 22
Time is flying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe we are 22 weeks into the year. Although I have nothing to report as far as output, I did make a little purchase of 5.75 yards this week. The fabric will go into two quilts--one that I have started and one that is in the planning stage. I needed several batiks to add to the machine embroidered Rose of Sharon I am working on.
Fabric in this week: 5.75 yards
Fabric out this week: 0
In YTD: 28 5/8 yards
Out YTD: 49.75
