This week's ingredient---Sweetened Condensed Milk. I don't think I have ever used this!!! So off I went to google land to see what I could come up with. I found this brownie recipe and decided to give it a try. It seemed a perfect recipe to try as we were in the midst of a blizzard. My Big Guy loved them. I did need to make a few changes. I used two boxes of Ghirdelli brownie mix and added three tablespoons of espresso powder to the water.
A place to chronicle my quilting and fiber journey with a little cooking and genealogy.

Stash Report Week 6
You would think that with a blizzard this week end I would have completed at least one project. That unfortunately is not the case. I did get some sewing time in. Not as much as I would have liked but I did have a nice time.
Before the storm I was able to visit my LQS and managed to purchase 2.25 yards. It seems rude to visit a shop and not purchase something!!! This is my first purchase this year.
Fabric in this week: 2.25 yards
Fabric out this week: 0
Fabric in YTD: 2.25 yards
Fabric out YTD: 28.75 yards

What's Cooking--Peanut Butter
As soon as I saw peanut butter, I knew it had to be a cookie. I will use any excuse to bake a sweet treat. During these What's Cooking challenges, I want to try something new unless I know I have a spectacular recipe that I would like to share. I found what sounded like a yummy double chocolate cookie and it lived up to its rating of five stars. I was a little nervous since it only called for one cup of flour. But my qualms were short-lived. I will be adding this recipe to my favorites and will make again.
