Not a very productive week. Did you ever purchase yarn for a project and then realized it just wasn't right. I like giving knitted things for gifts especially Christmas. And yes I do start early and work through out the year.
I purchased Blue Sky Alpaca Worsted Hand Dyes in Charcoal.
The pattern was going to be Low Brow Cowl and Hat.
I just didn't like the combination. So I decided on a man's scarf. The pattern is very nice and masculine in the color I chose. Blue Sky Alpaca is a lovely yarn to work with. I decided to add ten stiches but it was way to wide. So the frogging began. No problem. But I was a little discouraged, put the needles down, worked on some applique and will cast on again this weekend.
Your yarn will make a great men's scarf and the pattern is great!
ReplyDeleteHappens to the best of us! I'm all the time changing the yarn I want to use for something. But it usually gets used in something else, so no harm :*)
ReplyDeleteIsn't alpaca great yarn? Should be a nice warm scarf!
ReplyDeleteThe yarn will make a great man's scarf. Nice design pattern too. I really like your original pattern for a woman's scarf or cowl.
ReplyDeleteThis yarn looks like it would be soft. Perfect for a scarf! Glad to have found you and will be following! ~Terri
