The Monkey Wrenches of Life
It has been awhile since I last posted. Life seems to have throw our family a few lemons. And we were having a hard time making lemonade. Our oldest lovely daughter, Miss S was diagnosed with breast cancer. The Big Guy and I have been helping her out with appointments not to mention shoulders to cry on and lots of hugs. Her surgery was last Wednesday. I am blessed with a wonderful, caring family. This isn't a journey she will take alone. There is every reason to be hopeful and treatment should be successful.
On a happier note, our youngest lovely daughter and her darling husband are expecting their first child November 1. So it seems we were able to make some lemonade after all.
This is the first Easter I have not prepared a family dinner. The Big Guy has a nasty cold or sinus infection. When the kids heard that he didn't attend church on Holy Thursday, Good Friday or today they new he was in bad shape. We all thought it best not to expose anyone to whatever it is that he is holding onto.
Easter dinner was a tuna salad sandwich. We have rescheduled Easter dinner for Wednesday.
Needless to say, there has been very little quilting or knitting.
