ON (and off) the Needes Friday

I love the feeling of finishing things!  One of my first knitting projects was Christmas stockings.  That was about 35 years ago.  About 10 years ago I thought I would replace them with something a little more elegant.  No one wanted anything to do with the new ones.  And since everyone has moved away, I get requests to make Christmas stockings for their homes.  Our youngest was married in September.  I made Christmas stockings for them including their dog two years ago.  This year Mrs. M asked me to make one for her MIL.
On my needles is a stocking cap in a lovely Chocolate brown.  Several times a month, we gather at our LYS for charity knitting.  I will be taking the finished projects to the Soup Kitchen in a few weeks.

  1. What a great idea - I hadn't thought of knitting Christmas stockings!!! I better plan it for next year though - I'd never get even one done this year LOL!!!

  2. What a nice idea to knit caps to give to the soup kitchen. Someone will be a lot warmer this winter because of your thoughtfulness.
